Pastors2Go - Guest Pastors Wanted
Our church in North Port, Florida wants to provide an oasis for pastors and other church professionals who can benefit from a unique sabbatical. We are looking for qualified clergy who are willing to share your professional expertise on a limited, part-time basis in exchange for free housing in a beautiful, new two-bedroom condominium in a gated community--only "footsteps" to the swimming pool and "minutes" to several beaches on the Gulf of Mexico.
What kind of commitment is required? We want you to be our guest for 1-3 months. One month applications are considered for any month of the year. Multiple month applications (2 or 3 months) are considered only for the months of April-December (spring-summer-fall). Prior to your arrival, we will negotiate an agreement with you so our small, growing congregation can benefit from your passion in our ministry context.
Typically, we expect selected candidates to attend all worship services, preach 1-2 times a month, plus serve in some capacity about 15 hours a week. Examples of service opportunities include: assist with Communion 2-3 times a month, lead a weekly Bible study (based on Sunday lectionary), mingle with members by attending small group gatherings and fellowship events, lead a half-hour monthly healing service with Communion, and contribute to our Youth and Family Ministry.
Our church is committed to outreach, lay ministry development, youth and family, and senior ministry. We are developing an emerging contemporary worship experience and an emerging small group ministry. We have a preschool, an adult respite care ministry and a ministry to the hungry and the homeless.
